How I Differentiate Myself From The Rest of The Pack
I am always amazed and astonished when a client comes to me complaining about what the attorney they fired was charging them to do their legal work and how difficult it was to get either a straight answer to a question let alone trying to get their attorney on the phone or to respond to an e-mail.
It is equally baffling in this age of cost-cutting, bargain e-commerce sites, bartering for services, etc., that most businesses continue to pay whatever hourly rate their legal counsel charges them. That’s insane! Do most people believe that if they find a competent lawyer to do work for them and they charge less than others to do the same thing that they are going to get inferior legal counseling in return?
If you run a business and utilize the services of lawyers that specialize in different areas of the law you should not be paying them more than $300 an hour to do so. Do the math. If a lawyer charges $300 an hour and puts in just 35 hours a week, that attorney is grossing $10,500 a week.
Here is how I separate myself from the rest of the business lawyers out there:
- $295 hourly rate for new clients;
- Highly personalized service;
- Clients receive my cell phone number;
- Clients can reach me on nights and weekends;
- Clients get charged for drafting e-mails or taking calls only if they take up a significant amount of time;
- Meetings at the client’s office.
Is there a difference between how you are being treated by your attorney and the level of personalized service I will give you?
